WHO WE ARE

Lily Staffing Solutions is a community-based recruitment service that works with local authorities and other care providers within Children and young people’s services in Dorset.

We are part of the Lily group who have historically provided safe environments and care for vulnerable children and young people in Dorset, consistently demonstrating positive outcomes.

Through our 20 years of experience, we know how important it is to find the right staff to work with children and young people.

Lily Staffing Solutions has been created to meet the demand for experienced well-trained staff to work within Children and young people’s services in the county.

WORK with US

We are looking for people with experience or transferable skills to work with Children and Young people and their families/carers in Dorset.

Much of our work revolves around Looked after Children, Young people in supported housing, Foster Carers, leaving care, family support.

You could be working in a variety of placements or have longer term assignments.  

Its important to us that our staff feel valued, so we offer lots of opportunity for training and personal development and regular supervision when required.

We would love to talk to anyone who has experience of working in this sector, qualifications required will depend on what is needed for each role. Some roles will require specialist skills and qualifications - we will generally match your experience, skills and qualifications to the roles we have.

Roles we recruit for

Support workers :-
will have experience in working with children and young people, which is demonstrable and its desirable to have a level 2 NVQ in social care and health but it’s not always essential. You will be able to establish a rapport and build respectful, trusting, honest and supportive relationships and have confidence to identify challenging situations.

Specialised staff :-
will need a Level 3 qualification in childcare and education, health, social care, education, Early Years Practitioner Child Development, Youth Work or parenting and family work will be essential for some roles, although there are many other qualifications, we are happy to accept. You must have 2 years relevant and demonstrable experience within Children and young people’s services and have a thorough understanding and knowledge of Safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.

Role specific Qualified Staff :-  
There are a range of roles that will require specialist training and qualifications for example Qualified Social Workers, Nursing Qualifications, Occupational Therapists, Children and Family case workers, Teachers/SEN teachers, Family Practitioners, Probation/YOT officers, Counsellors, Learning Disability Practitioners, EMHP …the list is endless

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Lily Staffing Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Young People.

Applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and DBS check and a fully checkable work history. Lily Staffing Solutions operates a safer recruitment policy will  require employment checks.

Telephone screening:

Our first contact would be a chat on the phone, in order for you to hear about what we are looking for and the work we are doing, and for you to decide if we can offer what you are looking for. We will also ask you for a copy of your CV if you haven’t already supplied one at this at this stage.

Application form:

You will be sent our online application form, along with GDPR consent and an Equal opportunity monitoring form. Once we have the completed form, we will invite you in for an informal interview.

The interview:

When we invite you in we ask you to bring some ID with you, if you have a DBS and have subscribed to the update service we will ask for your original certificate and your online reference and permission to view this.

Our interview process is fairly informal, you will get a short induction into the company and our ethos, we tell you about us and what we do and why we do it and the type of candidates we are looking for.

We will go through some pre-set questions, and your answers will be recorded in writing in line with safer recruitment.

You can let us know what types of roles you would like to do, where your interest, experience and passion lies, the hours you would like to work and we will chat through your recent employment.

Referencing:

We need 2 references from you, any offer of work will be subject to these references. We ask that one is your current or most recent employer. We will not take up references without your prior agreement. A standard referencing form is sent, we appreciate that many employers will only agree to gibe start and end dates, where this happens we may ask for an extra character reference.

Job matching:

By this stage we will know each other quite well! We will have a good understanding about what you are looking for and will have discussed the types of roles we are likely to offer you.

We will email you with offers of work as they become available, every effort is made to offer the right roles to the right candidates. You are under no obligation to accept any of the roles we forward to you, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you are interested. There could be occasions where the hours could be negotiated, so if the role appeals and the hours aren’t quite right let us know.
